Cardi B Says She Wants To Join Congress, Shake Things Up

Rapper Cardi B shared in a series of tweets that she wants to become a politician. She says she'd need to go back to school first.

ATLANTA, GA — Cardi B recently made headlines for purchasing an Atlanta mansion with an indoor gun range. Now she's trending again for contemplating a career in politics. In a tweet over the weekend, the rapper said she wants to be a politician.

“I think I want to be a politician. I really love government even tho I don’t agree with Goverment,” she tweeted.

In the series of tweets, she attempted to explain her motivation but didn't say if she would retire from her music career. Instead, she expressed an interest in going to school to help reach that goal.

“I do feel like if I go back to school and focus up I can be part of Congress. I deadass have sooo much ideas that make sense. I just need a couple of years of school and I can shake the table.”

According to Complex, Cardi has spoken up on political issues for the past two years. She’s a critic of President Donald Trump and a supporter of Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders. She interviewed Sanders in the past; they discussed police brutality and their mutual appreciation of the late President Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
