Cold Front Expected To Bring Showers To Metro Atlanta

The cold front will enter the area from the west/northwest region and is normal this time of year, weather officials told Patch.

ATLANTA, GA — Metro Atlanta should have warm temperatures early Friday before a cold front is expected to bring showers and possible thunderstorms overnight Friday, weather officials told Patch.

The anticipated cold front is coming from the west/northwest and is typical for the area this time of year, said Ryan Willis, meteorologist with the National Weather Service's Peachtree City Office.

The light rain should exit by Saturday afternoon, with a quarter inch or less expected for most metro areas.

Willis said the rain should be "just enough to get things kind of damp."

Temps Friday will remain constant in the low 80s while temps Saturday will cool down to highs in the lower 70s. Highs on Sunday should be around 70 degrees.
