Police disperse crowd; one demonstrator arrested in peaceful event.

ATLANTA, GA — Protesters gathered in downtown Atlanta Wednesday night, and in other cities across the country, to demonstrate against the election of Donald Trump as president, according to media reports.
Trump, the Republican candidate and billionaire real estate mogul, stunned Democratic candidate Hillary clinton and the nation in Tuesday's voting, capturing 279 electoral votes to clinch the presidency. Clinton, however, leads in the popular vote, although all of the votes across the country have yet to be counted.
Voters in Georgia favored Trump by a close margin, according to media reports, and the state's 16 electoral votes went to the Republican.
