Flash Flood Watch Continues Thursday Across Metro Atlanta
Due to saturated ground, the National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch through 8 p.m. on Thursday.

ATLANTA, GA — The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch across metro Atlanta on Thursday, due to the ground being saturated.
Several inches of rain have fallen, with a few places picking up between 6-10 inches, or more, of rain since Sunday, the NWS said.
Rounds of moderate to heavy rain with embedded thunderstorms are expected through Thursday evening, with additional rainfall of up to two inches expected.

The potential for flash flooding and quick rises on rivers and creeks will continue through Thursday, given the wet ground and above normal streamflows across the watch area. Several rivers and creeks have already responded to previous heavy rainfall.
It's been a very wet few days for many! Several inches of rain have fallen with a few places picking up 6-10+" of rain since Sunday. Because grounds remain saturated, the Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through 8 PM today. Locally heavy rainfall remains possible. #gawx pic.twitter.com/9liTYs3rNL
