Free Admission Saturday For Veterans At Georgia Aquarium

The aquarium also will host a presentation on Veterans Day by a color guard from a local high school.

ATLANTA, GA — In honor of those who have served in America's armed forces, Georgia Aquarium will commemorate Veterans Day as part of its Military Salute program on Saturday, Nov. 11.

All active military personnel and veterans will receive free admission to Georgia Aquarium all day on Saturday. Family members will receive 30 percent off general admission (see the aquarium's Military Mondays webpage below for details, terms and conditions).

At noon, the aquarium will host a presentation by the Kennesaw Mountain High School NJROTC Color Guard.

Other activities that will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday include:

  • Enjoy a special video on the aquarium's stone wall demonstrating Georgia Aquarium’s Military Salute program, including a Veterans Immersion Program, reenlistment support, Military Mondays and Gold Star Initiatives.
  • Sign a letter or send holiday cards to deployed troops.-
  • Make a minimum donation of $5 towards the aquarium's Military Salute program and receive a special Military Salute car magnet.

Georgia Aquarium is at 225 Baker St. NW in downtown Atlanta, next to World of Coca-Cola and across the street from Centennial Olympic Park.
