Fulton Murder Suspect Mistakenly Released From Jail Turns Himself In

Clayton County authorities said it was discovered Tuesday that the man was accidentally released from the Clayton County Jail in Nov. 2022.

ATLANTA, GA — A man who was accidentally released from the Clayton County Jail in November 2022 turned himself in Tuesday, Clayton County Sheriff Levon Allen said in a Nixle alert.

Kaiser Ulrick Suggs turned himself in to the Fulton County Jail, where he was wanted on suspicion of murder, Allen said.

Suggs was being held in the Clayton County Jail on suspicion of aggravated assault and was supposed to be taken to the Fulton County Jail; but, authorities said he was somehow released from jail in November 2022.

Authorities did not realize Suggs had been released from jail until Tuesday, Allen said in a past Nixle alert. Two employees have been placed on administrative leave in connection with his release.

Allen said the charges Suggs was facing in Clayton County have been dismissed.

According to Fulton County Jail records, Suggs was initially arrested by the Union City Police Department in April 2021 in connection with a January 2021 incident.

Jail records show Suggs was charged on suspicion of one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, one count of murder, three counts of felony murder, one count of first degree home invasion, one count of first degree burglary and one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Before turning himself into the jail, Suggs announced his intention on social media. Suggs said he had the support of God and his family.
