Garrett Named to 2020 Forbes “Best-in-State Wealth Advisors” List

For the third year in a row, Atlanta-based Merrill Lynch Wealth Management Financial Advisor Mary Ellen Garrett has been recognized on the Forbes "Best-in-State Wealth Advisors" list.

Merrill had 1,015 advisors named to the 2020 Forbes “Best-in-State Wealth Advisors” list, the most of all the firms recognized. This marks the third consecutive year for Merrill in the No. 1 spot.

Mary Ellen lives in Sandy Springs and attended Sinclair College. She is Managing Partner Senior Vice President at the Garrett Group and has over 35 years industry experience at Merrill.

In the Atlanta community Mary Ellen currently serves as Chair of the Mercy Care Foundation Board and as Chair of the Tocqueville Society for United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta. She is also a board member for United Way Worldwide in Washington, D.C.

Mary Ellen has been married to Scott for 34 years and has three children and one grandchild. Alex, a graduate of Vanderbilt University, is a Financial Advisor with Merrill’s Global Corporate Services team. Anna studied finance at Auburn University and lives in Dallas, GA with her son Aiden. Patsy, a graduate of Miami University in Ohio, is a Team Financial Advisor for The Garrett Group at Merrill.
