ATLANTA, GA — A contest will challenge Georgia teens to submit an idea for a 30-second TV ad on the dangers of speeding. The “Drive Safe Atlanta” winner is promised a $2,000 cash prize. The nonprofit group, The National Road Safety Foundation is sponsoring the contest.
Teens are asked to share their ideas for a public service announcement. The winner will work with an Emmy-winning television director to turn their PSA idea into an ad for national TV. The producer will come to their school.
“You can help prevent crashes that kill and injure thousands every year,” the nonprofit posted on its website. “For teens, crashes are the #1 killer. Your PSA idea can help make a difference.”
Entries will be accepted for students ages 13 - 19 living in the state of Georgia. The deadline for the contest is January 27 at midnight.
