Cardi B Tells Joe Biden To 'Get Trump Out' During Interview

Rapper Cardi B and Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden sit down with Elle magazine to discuss election priorities.

ATLANTA, GA — Rapper Cardi B has a message for President Donald Trump and she wants Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden to pass it along.

“I have a whole list of things that I want our next president to do for us. But first, I just want Trump out,” the new Atlanta resident said in an interview with Elle magazine. She was responding to Biden’s question on what her main interests are regarding the 2020 election.

Another issue on her list is the coronavirus. Cardi B said she wants to see more clarity from Trump on how to stop the spread, along with more accurate descriptions of the situation regarding the pandemic.

Lately, the 27-year-old rapper has taken a more public interest in politics. Earlier this year Cardi B said that she was contemplating running for Congress to “shake things up.”

"I think I want to be a politician. I really love government even tho I don't agree with Goverment," she tweeted back in January.

In the series of tweets, she attempted to explain her motivation but didn't say if she would retire from her music career. Instead, she expressed an interest in going to school to help reach that goal.

Her interview with Biden isn't the first time she's met with a politician. She interviewed Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders in the past; they discussed police brutality and their mutual appreciation of the late President Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

Biden will accept the Democratic nomination for president Thursday night to cap the 2020 Democratic National Convention in Milwaukee. Biden will also deliver a speech in which he is expected to talk about his vision for uniting the country.

The former vice president will share screen time with Sen. Cory Booker and Mayor Pete Buttigieg, as well as Sen. Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin.

There are several ways to follow the 2020 DNC live, including via mobile device, computer, television, streaming video and smart speaker.
