Mark Meadows Emergency Stay Request In Fulton RICO Case Denied: Report

ATLANTA, GA — Former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows' emergency stay request was recently denied after a court review found Meadows did not show a cause for a stay, Fox 5 Atlanta reported Wednesday.

Meadows, who is facing several charges in Georgia's election interference case, first tried to have his case moved to federal court. However, that motion was also denied.

The former White House leader is one of 19 people accused of trying to overturn the 2020 presidential election results in Georgia. The nation's former top official, ex-U.S. President Donald J. Trump, is also being accused in the Fulton County case.

Meadows was charged on suspicion of violation of the RICO Act and solicitation of violation of oath by public officer. His bond amount was $100,000.

Trump was charged on suspicion of violation of the RICO Act, three counts of solicitation of violation of oath by public officer, conspiracy to commit impersonating a public officer, two counts of first-degree conspiracy to commit forgery, two counts of conspiracy to commit false statements and writings, conspiracy to commit filing false documents, filing false documents and false statements and writings. He was released on a $200,000 bond.
