From parades and observances honoring fallen troops to a food festival and music, here's a list of Atlanta area Memorial Day 2019 events.
ATLANTA, GA — The weather should be sunny on Memorial Day, and communities across Georgia have plenty of arts fests, picnics, solemn ceremonies and more planned to mark the holiday. There will be a bounty of celebrations both solemn — honoring Gwinnett County Police Officer Antwan DeArvis Toney, who was killed in the line of duty last year, at the Gwinnett Fallen Heroes Memorial in Lawrenceville — and fun, from yoga and pilates in the park, plus a Street Artsfest in Alpharetta to .
Also set are Milton's roll call of fallen veterans, a service at the Red Clay Music Foundry in Duluth to recognize the American Legion's legacy over the last 100 years, and Roswell Remembers, the state's largest Memorial Day event with a wreath laying, 21-gun salute, picnic on the grounds, and live music.
