Moist Pattern Caused Storms Across Metro Atlanta

Weather officials told Patch Thursday the storms in metro Atlanta are expected to continue through the rest of the week.

ATLANTA, GA — Metro Atlanta residents could possibly look forward to storms the remainder of the work week through the weekend, weather officials told Patch Thursday.

"This is just a typical Georgia summertime day," Vaughn Smith, meteorologist with the National Weather Service's Peachtree City office, said.

The early morning rain Thursday left behind a cloudy afternoon and temperatures in the mid-80s.
