NFL's 'Pacman' Jones Attacked At Atlanta Airport

The contract worker who attacked Jones was charged with battery and taken to Grady Memorial Hospital to be treated for his injuries.

ATLANTA, GA — A contract worker at Atlanta's airport is under arrest after police say he assaulted NFL veteran and Atlanta native Adam "Pacman" Jones there.

At about 10 p.m. Tuesday night, Atlanta Police were called to Concourse B at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport about a fight. Investigators say they were told that Jones, a defensive back for the Cincinnati Bengals, confronted a worker who "made a gesture" toward him.

The employee for ABM, which provides airport maintenance services, has been identified as Frank Ragin, according to police spokesman Officer Jarius Daugherty.

Jones asked what the meaning of the gesture was and the men argued, Daughterty said. Ragin punched Jones in the face, cutting him, according to police. Jones then defended himself, police say, knocking Ragin to the ground.

During the fight, Ragin also hit a woman who was with Jones, injuring her hand. He was arrested and charged with two counts of battery. Both Jones and the woman with him declined medical treatment.

Ragin, however, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital to be treated for his injuries, Daugherty said.

Jones, 34, attended Westlake High School in Atlanta and played football at West Virginia. He was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in 2005, playing there for two seasons and one in Dallas before joining the Bengals in 2010.

He was suspended by the NFL for the 2007 season and part of the 2008 season for off-field conduct, including his role in an altercation at a Las Vegas strip club and an obstruction of justice charge out of Fayetteville, Ga.
