Nonprofit Guide Outreach and Target Volunteers Distribute 100 School Supply-Stuffed Book Bags to K-8 Students
Target Volunteers Join Nonprofit with Delivery Event held Aug. 1 at Atlanta Heights Charter School
Target associates from several Atlanta-area stores assembled the bags last week at their local locations, and 15 volunteers were on hand to deliver these needed supplies to the K-8 students. The supplies included a variety of back-to-school essentials that will help families check items off of their school supplies list.
Allison Eberhardt, Community Captain, Target Store Director collaborated with Neil Phillips, Founder of Guide Outreach, for the backpack distribution.
Target recently awarded a Community Engagement Fund grant to Guide Outreach to support their ongoing efforts and this project.

Across the country, Target teams are partnering with local organizations in dozens of communities this season to support students and families to confidently start a new school year. Together, Target team members contribute more than one million volunteer hours each year to support the communities where they live and work.
In 2025 across Metro Atlanta, Target provided more than $6 million in product and cash donations, including 2.3 million pounds of food to local food banks, and store team members volunteered over 20,500 hours in the community.
