Regional leaders want to make sure you can (wsbtv.com) — Regional leaders are advancing a Housing Forward 2035 plan that could reshape where and how Atlantans live, with ambitious targets for new construction and preserving affordable homes across the 11-county metro. The proposal emphasizes building closer to jobs and transit, repurposing vacant properties, and pushing local governments to adopt tailored policies before a final vote in 2026.

TSA testing new technology at five airports, including Atlanta (kiss104fm.com) — If you're flying out of Hartsfield-Jackson, you may soon notice new TSA screening technology being tested in select lanes, aimed at cutting wait times while tightening security. 4. Yes, this viral Atlanta crash video is real: Driver survives after car dangles above I-85 ramp (11alive.com) — A dramatic crash on I-20 West at Windsor Street left a car dangling above the I-85 entrance ramp in Atlanta, yet the driver survived with no critical injuries. Atlanta Fire Rescue stabilized the precariously wedged vehicle so the driver could climb out, while Grady EMS, Atlanta police, and HERO crews handled treatment and cleanup.
   

5. Former metro Atlanta area police officer found guilty of sexual assault (kiss104fm.com) — A former East Point police officer from the metro Atlanta area has been convicted on all five counts in Fulton County for sexually assaulting women, including a 15-year-old girl, while on duty. Jurors reached the guilty verdict Tuesday after same-day deliberations, and officials say he targeted victims during searches or by gaining their trust. Further sentencing details are still developing.
