📰 News we're reading

• New Legacy In GA: Rental Development Offers More Housing Options (patch.com) — Atlanta residents now have new affordable and mixed-income housing options at Legacy at Herndon Square, a 201-unit development near Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Built on the former Herndon Homes site with major investment from Atlanta Housing and city partners, the project aims to keep longtime Westside residents in their community while welcoming new neighbors. Amenities, income-based rents, and future townhomes are designed to support inclusive growth in the heart of the city.

• Georgia State student says she is living in fear after Midtown Atlanta attack (atlantanewsfirst.com) — A Georgia State University student is recovering after being assaulted and robbed in broad daylight in Midtown Atlanta, and she's now too afraid to ride MARTA, switching to online classes instead. Atlanta police say the suspect later stole a patrol car and crashed in Clayton County, yet he has already been granted bond, leaving the student and other residents worried about their safety.

• 'RHOP' Alum Mia Thornton Hit With Felony Charge in Theft Case (urbanhollywood411.com) — A former Real Housewives of Potomac cast member now faces a felony theft charge in Fulton County, accused of taking more than $5,000 in furniture and electronics from an Atlanta condominium. She was arrested last year at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on a City of Atlanta warrant and says she's focusing on accountability and personal growth as the case proceeds.
