Police Seek Public's Help In Atlanta University Center Shootings

At least three people were injured in the Oct. 16 shootings near the Atlanta University Center.

ATLANTA, GA — The Atlanta Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in connection with two shootings around 12:30 a.m., Oct. 16, in the Atlanta University Center.

One shooting occurred near the intersection of Mildred and Parsons streets while the other happened in the 100 block of James P. Brawley Drive near the AUC Woodruff Library, police said.

Three people were shot and taken to the hospital while a fourth person who appeared to be grazed refused medical treatment, police said.

According to authorities, people were listening to a DJ at a large gathering near the library when the shootings happened.

Police released two videos related to the case.

One video shows a greyish car turn right onto Parsons Street, then muzzle flashes can be seen behind a group of trees. The second video shows the gathering and two sites where police say the shootings happened.
