ATLANTA – Encouraging others to use their talents and embrace their uniqueness will be the topic as Saint Leo University celebrates Women’s HERstory with a special presentation from 6 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 27, at the Atlanta Education Center.

The College of Arts and Sciences will welcome Bianca Keaton, the new chair of the Gwinnett County Democratic Party. Keaton is the first African-American woman to hold this position. As part of Women’s History Month, Keaton’s talk will be “Exceptions are the Rule.”

Keaton will discuss how most people are “nontraditional” in some way, and “she is very excited to bring this message to the ‘nontraditional student’ audience at Saint Leo to inspire them,” said Dr. Eileen O’Brien, professor of sociology.
