These 20 GA Hotels Set Standards Of Excellence Among Travelers: US News

​More than 1,000 hotels in Georgia are recognized for their excellence in hospitality, including 20 that offer luxurious amenities.

More than 1,000 hotels in Georgia were singled out for excellence in a new ranking from U.S. News that helps travelers find a hotel that best suits their needs.

The 2026 Best Hotels ranking includes the following in Georgia:

  • The Cloister, 100 Cloister Drive, Sea Island

With a nightly added resort fee of $38, The Cloister sits nestled between the ocean and the Blankbank River. PGA golf courses, fitness and business centers, beach and kid-friendly activities and spa treatments are features of The Cloister. Pets are allowed, and on-site restaurants are available.

  • The St. Regis Atlanta, 88 W. Paces Ferry Road, Atlanta

US News warned staying at The St. Regis Atlanta can be costly; but, guests may enjoy butler service, relaxation at the spa or a cocktail at The St. Regis Bar in the Buckhead hotel. Keeping with southern traditions, Afternoon Tea is held each weekend in the Astor Court. Visitors may also feast in the Garden Room, an eatery with floral-inspired designs.

  • The Lodge at Sea Island, 100 Retreat Ave., St. Simons

Multiple restaurants and golf courses are within reach at The Lodge at Sea Island. The size of the hotel may be perfect for couples, while sister property The Cloister normally welcomes families. Colt and Alison serves prime cuts of beef and fresh seafood to customers in an intimate environment.

  • Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead, 3376 Peachtree Road NE, Atlanta

This five-star hotel boasts 127 rooms for its guests, including a presidential suite that comes with two terraces and a dining room. For those seeking to exercise, the Waldorf Astoria features a fitness center with a yoga studio. The hotel also has an indoor lap pool, a sauna and a French-Southern fusion restaurant.

  • Hotel Bardo Savannah, 700 Drayton St., Savannah

Free breakfast comes with a stay at Hotel Bardo, which charges a $45 nightly resort fee. Guests can receive chair-side service with Bar Bibi, or they can partake in house-made pasta at Saint Bibiana. After dinner, Hotel Bardo hosts live music at Club Bardo for enjoyment.

The 2026 ranking, the 16th annual from U.S. News, highlights more than 31,000 hotels across more than 400 destinations. For the second year in a row, Four Seasons Resort Hualalai on Hawaii’s Big Island takes the No. 1 spot in the Best Hotels in the USA ranking.

The Four Seasons brand extends its dominance with Four Seasons Resort Lanai claiming the No. 2 spot. The Langham Chicago came in at No. 3, and the Mandarin Oriental claimed the No. 4 and No. 5 spots with properties in New York City and Boston.

U.S. News also ranked hotels in Europe, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda.

“The hotels highlighted in U.S. News’ 2026 Best Hotels rankings set the standard for top-tier customer service, stellar amenities and truly memorable guest experiences,” Zach Watson, senior data editor, travel at U.S. News, said in a news release. “Recognition in this year’s rankings sets hotels and resorts apart as the industry’s best, and each list provides a central starting point for travelers seeking the best options for them.”
