Georgia Fan Crushes Door During Championship Game Loss: WATCH

Check out some videos of UGA football fans reacting — some better than others — to the Dawgs' overtime national title loss to Alabama.

ATLANTA, GA — When the team you love loses the National Championship game in overtime, you're not necessarily going to be on your best behavior. Some of us, however, handle disappointment a little more smoothly than others. A video making the rounds on Tuesday shows a Georgia fan literally demolishing a door after a rough moment in UGA's 26-23 loss to Alabama in Monday night's national title tilt at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

After uttering a brief expletive, he leads with a left kick before following up with a right that goes all the way through the door. At that point, he lets his hands go, flurrying with an admirable mix of lefts and rights that put additional holes in the door before knocking it off of its hinges.

The mixed-martial arts door assault appears to come in overtime, when Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm was sacked by Alabama linebacker Terrell Lewis. Kicker Rodrigo Blankenship would bail the Bulldogs out with a 51-yard field goal a play later, but Alabama would answer with a touchdown to end the game.

Monday night was a heartbreaker for Georgia fans as their dream season slipped away in the overtime loss to Nick Saban and his Alabama squad. But Georgia head coach Kirby Smart and his players, as well as a reinvigorated fan base, are already looking ahead to what many expect to be a promising future for the Bulldogs.

"I think everybody can see that Georgia's going to be a force to be reckoned with," Smart said. "I am very proud of this team and this university, and we're not going anywhere." In just his second year at the helm in Athens, Smart — who had spent the last decade as an assistant to six-time championship winner Saban at Alabama — led the Dawgs to a 13-2 season, an SEC Championship and a thrilling 54-48, double-overtime victory over Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day.

The door-demolishing fan wasn't the only Bulldog supporter having a rough time Monday night, though.

This YouTube clip shows a group of fans reacting boisterously to various moments late in the game, only to fall deathly silent as Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa hits receiver Devonta Smith for the game-winning score.

Another video features several minutes of running commentary from a UGA fan who says, "No big plays here, now ... no big plays," a second before Tagovailoa makes the biggest play of the game. He spends a couple of minutes having a minor flame-out — "How can you let a man behind you on 2nd and 26???" — before drowning his sorrows in a 38-year-old Coke.

He pops open and drinks a Coke from a commemorative bottle released when the Bulldogs won the national title in 1980. (SPOILER: It doesn't appear to go very well.)

And then, on Twitter, one video showed the Bulldogs being mourned by ... well ... a bulldog.
