Walk to End Alzheimer's returns Oct. 24 (thepostsearchlight.com) ā Bainbridge residents can already start planning for the 2026 Walk to End Alzheimerās on Saturday, Oct. 24 in Willis Park, along with related Mahjong, golf, football and fashion fundraisers around town. Since 2017 the community has raised over $250,000, and organizers are urging new and returning teams, sponsors and volunteers to sign up now. Contact information is provided for forming teams, registering for events and getting involved locally.

2. 71-year-old says officer threw her to the ground during Walmart arrest (kptv.com) ā Bainbridge residents are watching closely as Public Safety investigates an incident where a 71āyearāold woman says an officer threw her to the ground during an arrest at the local Walmart. She and her daughter were cited for disorderly conduct, and her family says medical staff described what they saw on video as physical abuse of an elderly person. The police chief says the department is reviewing footage and policies before commenting further. Ā Ā Ā
