City Spotlight on Braselton: Discover Mulberry RiverWalk

Have you discovered Mulberry RiverWalk yet?

Located along the Mulberry River north of Interstate 85, this popular recreational site is a part of Braselton that the town has designated to protect and preserve for its natural beauty.

Mulberry RiverWalk consists of miles of meandering walking paths showcasing perennial gardens, footbridges and picnic areas along the River for the public to enjoy. Along the trail, you’ll happen upon a monument marking the spot where four North Georgia counties converge, including Gwinnett, Barrow, Hall and Jackson. But before you head out on that hike, be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and be prepared to run into the occasional critter or two — that includes bugs and snakes — because this is a natural, non-paved trail.

Public parking is located at the trail head at 940 Liberty Church Road.

The town of Braselton is always seeking volunteers to aid with planting, design guidance and ongoing maintenance of the Mulberry RiverWalk project. Community clean-ups are typically hosted two times a year, but Braselton could always use the help of individuals to spot issues yearround and bring them to the town hall's attention.
