Congressman Visits with Local Students, Community
Rob Woodall spends time in Barrow County.

Local high school students were able to converse with a congressman earlier this week.
U.S. Rep. Rob Woodall, R-Lawrenceville, who represents Barrow County in Georgia's seventh congressional district, hosted an installment of his student town hall series at on Monday.
Woodall discussed his current legislative activities in Washington, as well as issues he thinks students should be aware. Most of the visit consisted of an open Q&A forum.

“I appreciate the Apalachee students’ desire to take part in a legislative process that ultimately affects them,” Woodall said. “My message to them is: be involved. Every dollar we spend ‘in their best interest’ is a dollar that we borrow from them today and they will have to pay back tomorrow. The sooner they engage in the process, the better off they will be."
The congressman visited the Winder Food Distribution Center on Thursday morning and attended an afternoon meeting of the Rotary Club of Winder.
