To get ready for its upcoming exhibition, Living in Space, the Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center (GEHC) will show the original Star Wars films on three successive Fridays. Return of the Jedi (Episode VI) will be shown on August 5.
Members of the local 501st Legion, the world’s definitive imperial costuming organization, as well as members of the staff of the Museum Replicas Limited Store at the Mall of Georgia will be on hand to create the perfect Star Wars atmosphere by appearing as various Star Wars characters, including Darth Vader, Chewbacca, Boba Fett, Storm Troopers and various Jedi Knights. Visitors are also encouraged to come dressed as their favorite Star Wars character.
Living in Space, on exhibit at GHEC September 12 thru December 31, is inspired by the International Space Station (ISS) – the single largest international aerospace project ever undertaken by humankind.
