Iron Doggs Compete in State Championships
Winder-Barrow's Tyree Tanner placed fifth in the state in his division.
This past Saturday, first Iron Doggs Weight Lifting Team traveled to Hawkinsville to compete in the GACA State Championships.
The team had four state qualifiers in Dillon Barnes (under 140 pounds), Kendrick Davis (181 to 190 pounds), Tyree Tanner (191 to 205 pounds), and Will Douthit (226 to 246 pounds), with Tanner placing fifth in the state in his division.
"All four players lifted to the best of their abilities and in some cases had personal bests on some lifts," said David Wagner, weight lifting team coach.
