Only 250 Voter Names Challenged by City of Winder

The city of Winder is challenging only 250 names on its list of registered voters, a small fraction of the 3,000 names the city originally planned to challenge, according to the .

The city submitted a fianl list of names to be challenged Friday, Oct. 14. The names, provided in a PDF file to the right of this text, include those no longer residing within the city limits.

Last week, the upcoming municipal election.

Winder Mayor Chip Thompson said having the state monitor the upcoming city election would help the city avoid "he said, she said situations," the Athens Banner-Herald reports.
