Local Sleep Center Receives Accreditation

The Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine Center of Winder, the first accredited sleep center in Barrow County, received its accreditation from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine in July.

The Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine Center of Winder, the first accredited sleep center in Barrow County, was accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine in July.

The reports the center has treated almost 1,000 patients since opening in 2010 and staff perform an average of 60 studies a month, evaluating patients' sleep for conditions such as obstructive sleep apnea and snoring.

The sleep center is operated by Dr. Rami Arfoosh and is located at 20 Satellite Drive, Suite 200, in Winder.
