Arlene Beckles Participates in 'Stop School Shootings' Film Premiere in Duluth (house-press.com) — New statewide school safety rules stemming from the 2024 Apalachee High School shooting in Winder now require every Georgia public school to install mobile panic alert systems and maintain digital campus maps by July 2026. Lawmakers are also pushing for weapons detection funding and more mental health staff, while a new film on preventing school shootings highlights early warning signs and community intervention.
