Raffle Tickets Available for Statham Sunflower Festival Fundraiser
The committee organizing the 14th annual event is selling tickets for a lucky winner to receive a one-of-a-kind quilt.
It's fitting for a quilt being raffled off as a fundraiser for the to be decorated with the flowers for which the annual event is named.
The Athens Banner-Herald reports a Bogart resident, Wanda Baker, crafted the quilt. Tickets for the raffle are $1 each and are available by calling Betty Lyle at 770-725-5323 or Deb Golder at 404-697-7243. The drawing is planned for the afternoon of the festival, which will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, in downtown Statham.
The event will include vendors, crafts, music, food, a 5K run/walk, a car show and a street dance.
