Set Sail with 'Sinbad'

Children of all ages can set sail on an adventure this weekend without leaving downtown Winder.

Winder-Barrow Community Theatre's Children's PLAYhouse will present the family-friendly comedy "Sinbad" by Craig Sodaro.

The play is an adaptation of a tale from The Arabian Nights and takes audiences on a fun-filled, theatrical voyage as Sinbad the sailor seeks to win the hand of a princess.

Performances will be staged at 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 15, and Saturday, July 16, and at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 17, in the Colleen Williams Theater at the . 

Following each performance, audiences will be invited to attend a reception where children can meet members of the cast.

Tickets are $5 for children 12 and younger and $10 for those 13 and older. Tickets can be purchased at and Pam Veader's State Farm Insurance Office at 41 S. Center St. in Winder.
