Sunday Sales of Beer and Wine Start in Winder
Less than a week after Winder voters approved Sunday retail sales of packaged beer and wine, residents were able to stock up if they so chose yesterday.

Sunday sales of packaged beer and wine began in Winder yesterday, the weekend after voters approved the referendum.
According to AccessNorthGa.com, this was the exception, not the rule, for other municipalities that approved Sunday sales β only a handful of other cities started allowing Sunday sales yesterday, and it could be weeks before residents in 50 cities and towns across Georgia can purchase alcohol on Sundays.
In Winder, 707 voters approved of Sunday sales, with 592 voting against.
