Winder City Council Discusses Disposal of Junked Cars
City Administrator David Toms proposed a plan during Monday night's work session.

Winder City Administrator David Toms asked during Monday's city council work session that council members consider an amendment to enforce the disposal of junked cars.
In a memo to the council, Toms explained the delicacy of the situation.
“I would advise that we make cautious changes since this an area involving property rights," he wrote.

The proposal is a part of ongoing beautification projects throughout the city of Winder.
“Junked vehicles are the vehicles that more often are on private property but within the public’s view that are dismantled and appear inoperable," Toms continued. "These vehicles may have a current tag or none."
