Winder-Barrow Community Theatre Donates to the Local Food Bank

Winder-Barrow Community Theatre recently presented a check for $150 along with about $200 in canned goods to Gwen Hill who was representing the Barrow County Food Bank.  In addition to this, there was also $84 in cash donations made by the audience members who attended “The Battle of Shallowford”.  This play was the final show of the 2013 Main Stage Season, and the Food Bank was chosen to be the recipient of the donations as part of the WBCT support for local non-profit groups.

The picture shows Gwen Hill accepting the check from Tery Overbey, President of WBCT.  Tery and the cast had just finished the final curtain call for the show so he was still in full makeup and costume when he made the presentation on the set of the show.
