Totally Red: Performing Arts Class for Kids

For kids in grades 1 through 8.

Students will experience the entire production process: auditions, blocking, rehearsal, and performance in just 7 weeks!  They will work on the production of "Totally Red" - a witty and original collection of short plays retelling the story of Little Red Riding Hood using various theatre genres including melodrama ("The Perils of Being Miss Red"); Elizabethan ("Much Ado About Red"),'80s hip-hop slang ("REDz in the Hood"), and avant-garde ("Call the Moment RED").  In addition to rehearsing the show, students will receive instruction in acting, learn physical and vocal warm-ups, and play improv and theatre games.
