For teens in grades 9 through 12.
Good writing informs, persuades and inspires its audience. It can make you laugh out loud. It can challenge hearts and minds. But it takes training to develop these abilities. In four classes, this workshop lays the foundations for effective writing in both high school and college. You will investigate everything from formulating a thesis to writing clear sentences. In a small class setting, teens will explore the elements of good writing together. You will create brief compositions and then edit, revise and discuss them. You'll return to school ready to tackle any writing project!
