Murder Charges Filed In 8-Month-Old's Beating Death
A Brookhaven couple are charged in the death of Kamonie Love Whitehead, who died last month.

BROOKHAVEN, GA — Police are filing murder charges in the case of an 8-month-old baby girl who died allegedly at the hands of her mother and the woman's boyfriend.
Brookhaven police say Kamonie Love Whitehead died after being repeatedly beaten with a belt.
Police were waiting on the girl's autopsy before filing charges against Shavone Whitehead, the girl's mother, and Edward Wilson. The pair are already facing charges of cruelty to children and aggravated battery.

Police say the abuse happened at a home in the 1800 block of Corporate Boulevard. The infant was discovered by police when officers responded to a call of an unconscious infant.
The girl was placed on a ventilator for several days before she died.
