The award-winning feature film Withdrawal arrives at the SoGlo Theatre in Brunswick for a limited engagement on May 15 and 16. Written and directed by Georgia-born filmmaker Aaron Strand, the film offers a raw and unexpectedly human look at love and recovery. Inspired by Strand’s own experience surviving opioid addiction, the story follows two star-crossed lovers struggling to survive a night of withdrawal.
Withdrawal had its world premiere at the Atlanta Film Festival and has earned 12 major awards during its global festival run. The film has received rave reviews on Rotten Tomatoes and Letterboxd for its ability to balance dark humor with the emotional realities of healing.
