Man Who Pimped at Buckhead Hotel Gets Nine Years in Prison
He pleads guilty to trafficking 17-year-old after arrest by FBI task force.

ATLANTA, GA β A confessed pimp will serve nine years in prison after pleading guilty Tuesday to trafficking a 17-year-old girl from a luxury hotel in Buckhead, according to the Georgia Attorney Generalβs Office.
A judge sentenced Andre Jones to 19 years in prison, with nine years required to serve, for human trafficking, pimping a minor and pandering a minor, the Attorney General's Office said in a statement. The charges stem from a November 2014 incident, in which Jones drove the 17-year-old to the unidentified hotel in Buckhead for prostitution purposes.
After two days, she was rescued by an FBI child trafficking task force. Jones had enticed the 17-year-old into prostitution as a way to make money for college, but he kept the money she received, the Attorney General's Office said.

Jones was later arrested in an undercover sting operation, prosecutors said. A police officer posing as a 16-year-old responded to an ad that Jones placed on Backpage.com for βmilitary minded hoesβ to work for him. Jones then tried to recruit the officer.
Before trafficking the 17-year-old, Jones was arrested for pimping an adult in Sandy Springs, prosecutors said. The co-defendant in the Buckhead case, Daeun Jones, will be tried at a later date.
