Buford Cabinet Shop Damaged Due To Fire

BUFORD, GA — A cabinet shop in the 400 block of Tuggle Greer Drive suffered heavy damage after a fire around 6:30 p.m. Thursday, according to the Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services.

There were no reported injuries, fire officials said. No one was inside of the single-story warehouse at the time of the fire.

First responders were dispatched after a worker heard a loud boom and called 911, fire officials said. The worker did not report seeing smoke, fire officials said.

The police department's aviation unit reported visible smoke and flames, fire officials said.

More than 50 firefighters responded to the scene.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
