After a two-year hiatus, the Buford Trail of Terror is back and more bloodcurdling than ever with a new address along the shores of Lake Lanier. From its new location at 7650 Lanier Islands Parkway, the haunted house SLASH open-air experience and its 50 restless spirits will rattle guests' nerves as they pass through 13 spine-tingling scenes. Joining its signature cavalcade of psycho clowns, the lakeside setting inspired new creatures, like pirates, vikings, mermaids, sirens, and more. The first night of frights for the 2026 season kicks off Friday, September 25, and runs rampant on select nights through Saturday, November 7.
Regular admission to the Buford Trail of Terror is $34.99 for individuals and $24.99/person for groups of 15 or more. For those who wish to purchase a fast pass, admission is $64.99 for individuals and $49.99/person for groups of 15 or more. Lanier Islands Resort gate entry is included in the admission price for those who purchase their tickets online.

Priced by the vehicle, this modern-day sleigh ride through mile after mile of sparkling lights and animated displays runs nightly from 5-10PM November 20, 2026 to January 3, 2027. As the cabin of each vehicle fills with holiday music and wonder, all roads lead to the resort’s Holiday Headquarters at Game Changer – which marks another year of Clark’s Holiday Pop-up Bar in addition to a Vendor Village and all the fun and games to be found at the 23,000-square-foot indoor playground. Give Back Nights with gifts for the first 100 cards, appearances from the Jolly Old Elf himself and other holiday characters on select nights, and stops to the winter wonderland at Margaritaville’s License to Chill Snow Island will further enhance the experience. Visitors can race down Georgia’s longest snow tubing hill, skate to holiday tunes, hop on exciting carnival rides, or dive into fresh snow blown daily for playtime and snowball battles.
Magical Nights of Lights has all the makings for a special date night, a cherished tradition for groups of friends, or an evening of memory-making for the whole family. It earned the top spot among Favorite Homegrown Holiday Light Displays from North Georgia Living Magazine, and Mommy Poppins named Magical Nights of Lights one of the Best Holiday Light Shows in Atlanta last year. Discover why Magical Nights of Lights has been a beloved holiday tradition among countless families and individuals since 1993. Starting at $25/vehicle, pricing for this drive-thru Christmas lights show experience varies by vehicle size and date of visit.
