Courtney Fullmer Graduates Magna Cum Laude

FAYETTE, IA -- Upper Iowa University is pleased to announce Courtney Fullmer from Buford, GA, graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in May. Honors qualifications as follows: Summa cum laude is awarded to those with at least a 3.9 GPA; magna cum laude (3.7-3.9 GPA), and cum laude (3.5-3.7 GPA).

Brenau Students Awarded for Excellence at Honors Convocation

GAINESVILLE, GA -- Brenau University students were awarded for academic excellence and achievement during Honors Convocation April 16. Local students included:

• Aunica Clinton of Buford, Georgia, a 2016 student with a major in mass communication, won the Massey Journalism Scholarship.
• Marissa Howey of Buford, Georgia, a 2017 student with a major in psychology, won the 1st Year Writing Award.
• Abigail Paul of Buford, Georgia, a 2015 student with a major in English and theater, won the Honors Graduation Award.
• Olivia Varnson of Buford, Georgia, a 2015 student with a major in mass communication, won the Clara Martin Endowed Scholarship.

Georgia State Law’s 31st Commencement Ceremony

Georgia State: Garzon Awarded Research Program Fellowship

ATLANTA, GA -- Valentina Garzon a Psychology major and Public Policy minor of Buford was awarded the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START) fellowship. This fellowship engages talented undergraduate students pursuing degrees in the social and behavioral sciences in research related to understanding origins and/or responses to terrorism.
