Local Students Graduate from Samford University

BIRMINGHAM, AL -- The following area students received a bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree from Samford University during recent commencement exercises:

• Virginia L Davis of Buford graduated. Davis received a Juris Doctor from Cumberland School of Law.
• Katie Elisabeth Hammond of Buford graduated. Hammond received a Bachelor of Science from School of Health Professions.

Georgia Southern University Congratulates Graduates

STATESBORO, GA -- Georgia Southern University recently held its annual spring commencement ceremonies for graduate and undergraduate students at Hanner Fieldhouse and Allen E. Paulson Stadium. University President Brooks A. Keel, Ph.D., conferred more than 3,300 graduate and undergraduate degrees during two separate ceremonies to accommodate the graduating classes.

Georgia Southern University Announces Spring 2015 Dean’s List Honorees

STATESBORO, GA -- Georgia Southern University recently named 2,611 students for excellence in academics to the 2015 Spring Semester Dean’s List. To be eligible for the Dean’s List, a student must have at least a 3.5 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.
