According to a Gwinnett Police incident report, four males and a woman — believed to be between the ages of 16 and 42 — were billed for $138.85 in food and drink on March 1 at the restaurant located on Buford Drive.

The server told police she noticed the woman and the youngest male leave the restaurant after they finished the meal.

Then, two males, believed to be in their 20s, did the same thing, leaving the oldest male at the table with the bill.

“[The server] then observed the remaining suspect sitting at the table looking at the bill,” the police report stated. “By that time, she had alerted other employees of the suspicious behavior.”

The man got up and began to leave. He had not left any payment for the bill on the table, and the server alerted other employees to stop him.

When confronted, the man produced a credit card, but it was rejected, according to the police report.

After the card was returned, the man bolted out the door, and climbed into a gold-colored Chevy Traverse. Witnesses noted the tag number on the car, which returned matching the car’s description, but was registered to an out-of-state address.

No arrests were immediately made
