Buford Elementary first-grade teacher Patrick Logan is one of 10 finalists for the 2016 Georgia Teacher of the Year award, the Georgia Department of Education announced.

The finalists were chosen from 151 applicants who were named teachers of the year in their home districts, according to a news release.
The winner will be announced at the Georgia Teacher of the Year conference during the luncheon on May 8, 2015
