Karen Higgins' husband, who is disabled, was transported to a hospital after her body was found.

BUFORD, GA -- Gwinnett County police have identified the woman whose body was found in her Buford home Tuesday.
Police say the body of Karen Higgens, 53, has been released to the county medical examiner so an autopsy can be performed. They say no apparent cause of death had been identified Wednesday morning.
A family member called police at about 1 p.m. Tuesday, saying he had not heard from the Higgins lately, authorities said in a news release.
