Buford Middle School kids to perform with award winning Play on Players in Peter Pan Jr this June at Lambert High School.

Buford Middle school 8th grader Jonathan Ingram will be flying into the theater this summer as Peter Pan. He has been performing and pursuing his passion for theater the past eight years. Some of his past credits include Snow White (Prince/Huntsman), Gossip (Tommy), Under The Big Top (Charlie), Narnia (The Fox), Seussical Jr. (Wickersham Brother), Mary Poppins (Michael Banks), A Year With Frog & Toad (Frog), The Sound of Music (Kurt), Jungle Book KIDS (Baloo), and Madagascar Jr. (Skipper).

He has trained in acting, dancing, voice, and continues to want to learn and grow as a performer. Jonathan has been selected for the "Golden Ticket" at the Junior Theatre Festival by iTheatrics for the past 3 years, and he was able to go to New York to film a choreographed DVD for "Lion King Jr". This past year at JTF, he won the "Excellent Individual Male" Award.

Joining Jonathan on stage is 6th grader Madelyn Greene as Wendy Darling. She attends Gwinnett Online Campus and is thrilled to get a chance to perform alongside Jonathan. Madelyn has been performing the past 5 years. Some of her past credits include Dorothy Meets Alice (Alice), Christmas County Spelling Bee (Karen Kline), Whistle Down the Wind (Elizabeth), Jungle Book KIDS (Shanti/Coconut Tree), and Madagascar Jr (Lemur and Steak).

Madelyn has trained in voice, dance, and acting and is also pursuing film and TV work here in Atlanta. She was most recently seen in the CW Pilot Containment as a featured singer, and this summer will be in AMC'S TV show Halt and Catch Fire.

"Peter Pan Jr is a modern version of the timeless tale about a boy who wouldn't grow up. Wendy Darling loves to tell stories to her brothers, Michael and John. But when her father announces she must move out of the nursery, Peter Pan comes to visit the children and whisks them away to Neverland. Their journey introduces them to the Lost Boys, Mermaids, Indians and even the infamous pirate, Captain Hook! It’s Peter to the rescue when Wendy is taken captive by the dreaded captain, who has his own sinister plans in mind for our hero."

Jonathan, Madelyn, and the cast of almost 50 kids from over five counties are so excited to bring this show to the stage and feel blessed to work with the amazing National Award winning Play on Players Children's Theater. The show is directed by Heidi Rider and Kaitlin Gentry and will be performed June 10,11,and 12th at Lambert High School.
