Buford Preschool Recommended for Continued Accreditation

Members of an AdvancED on-site evaluation team have recommended the Primrose School of Buford receive continued accreditation through their organization. After two days of observations, interviews, and months of documentation, the team was very pleased with what they saw. The external review concluded that the school has evidence of supportive interactions, intentional learning, positive guidance, and health and safety.

The evaluating team said, "The owners and the management team have a strong commitment to the work of the school and have gone above and beyond the expectations to provide for the safety, cleanliness, and security of staff and students. The staff implements a well-developed curriculum that provides for continuity. Communication between school and home is well developed, and a strong assessment system consisting of formal and informal measures, standardized and non-standardized, is implemented to ensure that student progress is being accurately documented."

Owners, John and Jenifer McKnight said, "We are very proud of all the hard work and dedication we have committed to alongside our staff to meet the very high standards of AdvancED. We look forward to working with them for continued improvement."

Primrose School of Buford received its original accreditation through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) in 1999. Now, under AdvancED accreditation, the school will continue to ensure that all learners realize their full potential and every child will be cared for in a safe, nurturing environment.
