Georgia Southwestern State University
The following area residents were among approximately 300 students who graduated from Georgia Southwestern State University during the Spring 2015 Commencement Ceremony held on Saturday, May 9 in Convocation Hall of the Student Success Center.

- Nicoleta Cosereanu of Buford, Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting magna cum laude.
- Amanda Fleeman of Sugar Hill, Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting.
- Benjamin Mos of Buford, Bachelor of Business Administration in management magna cum laude.
Undergraduate Achievement
Valentina Garzon, a Psychology major from Buford, has been awarded the Georgia State Honors College Trustee Award for Undergraduate Achievement.
Piedmont College Spring 2015 Graduation
Piedmont College held its spring Commencement ceremonies May 2, 2015, at the Johnny Mize Athletic Center in Demorest. Some 385 students earned Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Arts, Master of Arts in Teaching, Education Specialist, and Doctoral degrees.
The following area students earned degrees:
- Alicia M. Henderson of Buford earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree .
- Kathryn Karlin of Sugar Hill earned an Education Specialist degree .
- Shane James McKay of Buford earned a Master of Business Administration degree .
- Whitney A. Wolfe of Buford earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education with high honors.
- Stewart P. Young of Buford earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration .
- Tasha S. Young of Buford earned a Doctor of Education degree.
