Buford Teen, A Mill Creek Cheerleader, Dies In Car Crash: Police

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — A 16-year-old Buford teen died Saturday in a single-car crash, according to the Gwinnett County Police Department.

Police identified her as Caitlyn Pollock, a Mill Creek High School cheerleader in Hoschton.

The car crashed into a concrete barrier after the driver did not go onto an entrance ramp at State Route 316, police said.

The driver had minor injuries, and is being charged on suspicion of failure to maintain lane, driving under the influence of alcohol, less safe and first-degree vehicular homicide, police said.
