Buford's Quest for 10th State Football Title Continues

Defending-champion Buford will be in familiar territory when the Wolves host Callaway in the Class 3A semifinals of the Georgia High School Association football playoffs.

The undefeated Wolves continue their quest to win their 10th state championship at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at Tom Riden Stadium.
Buford has rolled through its opponents to a 13-0 record, including a 36-6 win over Carver-Columbus last week in the quarterfinals.
According to a report by Georgia High School Daily, the Wolves are averaging nearly 50 points per game and are 35 points shy of setting the state record for points scored in a single season. The current record is 682 points.
Callaway (12-1) beat St. Pius 35-21 in the quarters and is playing in its first state semifinal.
Friday's game also will live-streamed on the NFHS Network.
